CANDID
The Mobile Photography Challenge
Individual Participation
Photography begins not in the camera but in the mind and the eye. With each snapshot, one gets the opportunity to wield their artistic vision, to capture the fleeting moments that together make the human experience. From sweeping landscapes to illuminating portraits, abstract compositions to candid snapshots of everyday life, the possibilities are as boundless as the imagination itself.
As you embark on this visual odyssey, let the chosen quote serve as your guiding star, illuminating the path towards expression! So point, frame, shoot and capture a stellar image of your creative spark!
The Task:
In this challenge, participants are invited to showcase their skills for phone/mobile photography. A quote has been given below. Participants are required to read, understand and interpret the quote in any way they choose, to create a cohesive concept. Based on the concept, participants are required to submit a maximum of 5 photographs (shot only on phone) to convey a story or narrative. Additionally, they will also have to submit a write up of their concept in 150 words.
The quote:
Those of us raised in modern cities tend to notice horizontal and vertical lines more quickly than lines at other orientations. In contrast, people raised in nomadic tribes do a better job noticing lines skewed at intermediate angles, since Mother Nature tends to work with a wider array of lines than most architects.
